It is the mission of the Essex Area Senior Center to be a friendly gathering place for people 50 years of age and older. Programs are provided to promote physical, intellectual, and social well-being while enhancing dignity, self-worth, and independence.
The Essex Area Senior Center staff are overseen by the Essex Parks and Recreation Department and Essex Junction Recreation and Parks.
Our staff consists of Program Director of Senior Services, Nicole Mone-St. Marthe.
Hello friends and community members. 2020 was a difficult year for many, but we are hopeful for great things and looking forward to 2021 as a year to reunite and get back to our center. We will continue to monitor the guidance from the Vermont Department of Aging and will open as soon as we receive the green light to do so. I miss you all so much and have so many wonderful new programs that I can't wait to offer you. I look forward to welcoming you all back soon. Take care!
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team! Contact Nicole for more information at NStMarthe@essex.org
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
